1995 Lancia Kappa LS review from Israel
"The best Saloon in its price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The original clutch was replaced by the previous owner at 75000 km,
right front door handle was broken when I bought the car,
some pixels were not seen on the "Info-center" so I bought a complete new "Info-center".
Speedometer sensor (no cable on the Kappa) was replaced at 110000 km, water pump was replaced at 125000 km.
General comments?
Generally it is a very reliable car, the Fiat 2.0 Turbo 16V (petrol) is a strong 205 HP engine and even during the hot summer here in Eilat (around 44C!!!) it keeps running great and never overheated. the transmission is smooth and accurate, a very fast car in a very low second hand price. Build quality is very good and even now, at the age of 8, the Kappa's interior still keeps the silence. It is hard to believe it's an Italian car due to high standarts of built. My next car, after the pleasent experience I'm having with the Kappa, will surely be the new Lancia Thesis :)
