1994 Chevrolet S-10 SUV review from North America
"This year vehicle or model was poorly manufactured or designed"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had new gas tank and fuel pump installed.
Blower motor went.
Ball joints replaced 3 times.
Oil pan now leaking.
Replaced alternator.
Rear defrost wires broken.
Replaced 4 schocks.
Antilock brakes recalled twice and prlblems continue with brakes.
Replaced front rotors and calipers.
New wires, Ignition module, andplugs
Entire exhaust replaced.
New belts.
A/C leak.
Numerous sensors replaced.
Front transfer case on 4WD replaced with used one and making noise again.
Rusting.
Power window on passenger front works erratically.
Seal came off driver's side front door.
Other problems I can't remember anymore.
4.3L Vortec engine replaced by GM 2000 miles before I bought it.
General comments?
Vehicle dependable for 1 and 1/2 years with problems virtually every month.
Engine powerful and usually responds quickly.
Best guess is $3-$4000 in repairs since bought.
Vague steering on ice and snow even with all season or winter tires.
Will sell within next few months.
Mechanics said S-10's have more problems than full sized Blazers.
I only had GM vehicles for 40 years, and this is the only real costly one.
