1969 Volkswagen Beetle 1500 Deluxe review from Australia and New Zealand
"Better-built small cars don't yet exist!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing, except 2 fan belts, 4 batteries and a broken windscreen.
I kept up the servicing on the car, so it just soldiered on forever.
General comments?
If there is an economy car with a standard of build and finish better than a Beetle, I probably can't afford to buy it.
It looked after my motoring needs better than I could have ever expected.
Always buy one with a decent service history.
