1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL review from North America
"It's not the most reliable car out there"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The dashboard digital display is cracked and doesn't always work.
The turn signal assembly switch needed to be replaced (which is also connected to the brake lights, so when that switch goes out, you have no brake lights)
The head gaskets had to be replaced.
The dashboard is warped and bent.
The power brake booster and master cylinder had to be replaced.
General comments?
The car drives like it has a million miles on it.
It doesn't handle well.
The interior is not comfortable at all.
The digital dash has proved to a major problem (it has resulted in a few speeding tickets, because I often didn't know how fast I was going)
Despite all of these downfalls, I must say that the engine itself has proved to be very reliable, given that it was regularly maintained.
