1994 Mercury Mystique GS review from Mexico
"Nice car, I like it very much"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The day I brought this car it had a few problems that were related whit it's age.
The engine supports were worn and I had to replace them.
The tires were worn, I replaced them.
The battery went dead, replaced.
The engine started to have problems with the rpm when I started it, it got fixed for $50.
Eight months later, the trans axle started fail, this failure was very occasional and it looked like it wanted to connect 2 different gears at the same time, I had to repair it, it wasn't very cheap.
After repairing those problems the car is running very well, not a single problem.
General comments?
Well, I had bad luck with the trans axle, I believe that was the reason why the previous owner sold it.
The engine runs very well, soft and smooth.
