1979 Ford Falcon Ute review from Australia and New Zealand
"A cheap reliable work horse"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox was slipping in second within a couple of months of buying it, had a reconditioned unit fitted, no trouble since.
The previous owner had lowered the suspension way to low, I've since had the whole suspension refurbished at Pedders and it rides beautiful.
Stereo was faulty, replaced and upgraded it.
Replaced all brakes since I bought it.
General comments?
A good solid Ute.
250 cu/in motor is more than enough.
Suspension work is worth doing.
A great ute and i'll be keeping it for life.
Very easy to work on with easy and cheap parts available.
