1991 Chevrolet Caprice Classic review from North America
"Comfortable, safe room for little money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Thermostat, waterpump right after purchase as the car kept overheating (dirt cheap parts), bad radiator lasted another 8 months incl. long distance driving (police radiator $ 280), carpet wear, power antenna deforms at high speeds, compass inaccurate and tough to adjust, screws are not rust-free, brakes wear out quickly and squeak, interior quality is is mediocre, full size spare takes much trunk space away.
General comments?
Inexpensive, reliable, roomy, safe, comfortable car, I drove it back and forth to Arkansas, New York City and on NYC's cracked up roads (loaded until the roof) and at high speeds. If you put premium 93 octane gas (Shell and fuel injector cleaner 'Outlaw') you will experience a tank of gas to last well over 400 miles in the city and almost 500 miles long distance. Get used to the sluggish handling and breaking, but the comfort is great yet, I am selling mine for something smaller.
Should you need a low budget car with room, comfort and little maintenance, this is the car for you.
