1995 Dodge Caravan ES review from North America

This Caravan is great! Only a few problems.

The car just had its third transmission replaced around 190,000 miles. Second transmission was replaced around 110,000 miles.

Drivers side seat broke! $40 for a new one at a junk yard+ 5 hours of labor.

Fuel pump went bad after 197,000 miles. $450 to replace.

This is an excellent Caravan!!! I bought it when it had about 60,000 miles. It now has 204,000 miles on it! Engine is GREAT! No problems there. Mine had a 3 litre V6, which gave it pretty good acceleration, and is only at 2,500 RPM at 70 MPH. Pretty fuel efficiant. About 22 miles a gallon. Can easily got 400+ miles on one tank. Three speed automatic transmission is a pain sometimes.

This is a truelt great minivan. If you were to purchase one, it will last forever if you just maintain it. Get oil changes when needed, check all fluids, keep it clean! Prevents rust. Don't horse around with it. I've done all these things, and I am still driving it at 204,000 miles! I don't plan to sell it until the tranny or engine blows out!

The interior is great. about 110 cubic feet of space in the back with seats taken out. Plenty of space for anything. I drove back 1,400 pounds of computers, and 400 pounds of pannengers frm chicago to michigan without a problem. It probably wasn't good for it, but it did a great job. Took a while to accelerate, but it is 1800 lbs.

Seats are comfy. Great sound sysem.

Reliable! I drove over 800 miles in a day, non stop! I trust it 100% Car had few problems in the 100,000-200,000 mile range.
