1986 Suzuki Alto GL review from UK and Ireland
"A nippy car around town which is fairly reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Heating failed in 1993.
Cam-belt changed in 1993.
Gearbox repaired in 1991.
The seats began to wear badly to wards 1995.
General comments?
This car is slow and noisy, but is easy to park and does not use up much fuel.
It is not very comfortable and I find the cabin a bit cramped.
It is easy to drive and can be quite nippy around town, but I suggest you don't take it on to the motorway as the engine is so gutless it sounds very harsh indeed.
Feels unrefined, but lasts very well and is easy to fix.
Suspension could do with some improvement, but other than that it is a good car.
