1987 Dodge D50 review from North America
"The 1987 Dodge Ram 50 Pickup is a Hard-to-kill piece of machinery!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The battery was not properly secured, which caused it to slide into the fan blade/belt. Upon hitting the fan belt, the battery procured a rather large hole. When that happened, the hole let battery fluid spray battery acid all over God's creation, which led the the timely replacement of all under-hood wires, plugs, etc.
Seat is worn a little, but look how many miles is on it.
General comments?
This is the 2nd 1987 Dodge Ram 50 Pickup I have owned.
The first 1987 Dodge Ram 50 pickup I owned, I bought brand new with 6 miles on it.
I owned that truck for 12 years, and in that amount of time, I drove it while working pizza delivery, and running a bait route across central Alabama.
When I got ready to sell that truck (with 215,000 miles on it) my mother bought it for $600.00.
After adding over 50,000 miles on it, the engine blew. She sold it as-is to my nephew for $100.00. He found another engine for $700.00 which was in a wrecked 1988 D50.
After installing that engine and doing a little bit of fine tuning, he drove the truck til it died about a year later. (it died when it flipped 3 times)
He sold it to a junkyard for $75.00.
Where it is now, who knows?
