1987 Ford Mustang GT Convertible review from Netherlands
"High Performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Headlights go out when driving with fog lights fo a while.
Automatic transmission broke down (due to street racing).
Soft top gets wet on the inside (previous owner chemically cleaned the softtop).
Catalytic converter rattled (has been replaced by aftermarked piece).
Air-condition doesn't work (O-rings dried out).
Windshield has been cracked (due to rust on the window frame).
General comments?
Real nice and fast car.
Not a lot of cars can keep up (including several Porsche's), nobody expects these cars to be so quick!
On long distance the fuel mileage is good (about 8ltr/100km) but on short trips the fuel mileage is twice as much.
Overall comfort was good until I replaced the wheels with 17"x10" wide wheels and low profile tires.
Great fun, having the top down and doing over 140 Mph.
Second gear is good for 100 Mph!!!
