2002 Peugeot 307 Rapier review from UK and Ireland

"Poor build quality"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Radio lost stations.

Indicator didn't return.

Air box rattled.

Car vibrated at 2,500 RPM.

Radiator leaked.

Brakes juddered at high speed.

Front seats started to wear.

Rear brakes squeaked.

Car pulled to near side.

Rear doors dry of grease.

Sunroof dry of grease/rattled.

Lack of power/poor mpg.

Battery/fuse box covers loose.

General comments?

Radio lost stations when going back to CD, dealer replaced unit, problem still present, display module on dash replaced, problem still present!

Air box rattled when engine is cold at 1,600 rpm, dealer tried wedging a McDonald's toy sword and old rubber washer to stop it, problem still present after 4 attempts to cure fault.

Vibration through car at 2,500 rpm, new electronic throttle module was fitted by dealer, problem not solved, new exhaust bracket was diagnosed as being required, problem almost cured, revised exhaust bracket fitted, problem cured.

Radiator started leaking at 4,000 miles, replacement radiator fitted by dealer, problem cured.

Brakes juddered when braking at higher speeds, new front disc's and pads fitted by dealer, problem cured.

Front seat covers started to fold on edges, new foam inserts fitted by dealer, problem still not cured.

Rear brakes squeaked from new, after 3 attempts by the dealer to put right, brakes were greased, fault almost cured.

Car started pulling to near side, dealer swapped front wheels, car still pulls sometimes.

Rear door checks dry of grease, dealer re-greased, problem cured.

Sunroof didn't open smoothly, and rattled when tilted, dealer greased runners, opens smoothly now, but still rattles when tilted.

Indicator stayed on and didn't return sometimes, 2 indicator stalk's have now been fitted, problem seems o.k.

Battery/fuse box covers were loose, dealer says "this is how there are supposed to be"!

Car has very poor acceleration since accelerator module was fitted and now kangaroo's in all gears when De-accelerating. Another accelerator module and throttle sensor was fitted, problem slightly better, but car still has poor acceleration and still kangaroo's.

When radiator was replaced wrong bushes were fitted which left radiator loose.

Dealership don't seem to be able to rectify problems at a first attempt and after owning the car for 1 year I feel very disappointed with the car and with the dealership.

Peugeot U.K. trouble shooter has looked at the car on 2 occasions. On the first occasion he acknowledged there was a performance related problem. After fitting more parts the car was slightly better. On the second occasion he said the car no longer had a fault, I disagreed and and still feel the car has a fault.

Where do I go from here??
