1990 Holden Rodeo review from Australia and New Zealand
"I wish everything was this tough"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Seats and dash cracked.
Horn working occasionally.
Water pump and radiator replaced.
Diff makes a whining sound (probably the result of the boys doing circle work in it)
Head gasket at 240000km.
General comments?
This Rodeo has been the company ute and utterly abused by a bunch of disrespectful tradesmen. It has proven to be almost unbreakable. The engine has loads of torque. This combined with a very light rear and hard tyres make for intersting cornering in the wet.
Suspension, as with most utes, is bone jarringly hard. Carries a tonne without complaint. Servicing done by myself with no problems. Amazingly the clutch is still intact.
Unbelievably tough - not in the performance sense - just unbreakable.
