1993 Hyundai Scoupe LS Turbo review from North America
"Simply the best"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Blew the head gasket (racing a truck, and won)
replaced manifold
replaced front pipe and cat
slave cylinder at approx. 160,000 KMS
Driver Side ball joint
Driver Side tie rod.
General comments?
This car is really quick, due to the turbo and light body. It does corner like it's on rails, looks good, and is great on gas to boot. All my mechanic friends made fun of me when I bought it, but here we are, over 200k later, still running, although we're using a bit of oil now, and the body is rusting out. I simply cannot say enough about this car. it's small if you're a large individual, but even my 6 odd foot and 200 something pound husband fits into this car, and has learned to love, and even brag about my 'scoupey' to all his truck driving friends!! I only wish we could find another one. These turbos are few and far between, and I'd love to get my hands on another.
