1996 Plymouth Neon Standard review from North America
"Car?, I thought I was driving a Campbells soup can"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have spent the same amount on buying hubcaps as I would have had I bought alloy wheels for this can.
The water spouts through the windows every time it rains or I run it through the car wash. The only good thing about not having a place for my window to roll up is when I actually locked my keys in my car (for the first time last week) all I had to do was reach on in. Ha Ha great security decoy. Whoever designed it obviously has never been into any urban area where security is an issue.
Brakes: does every 6 months sound right. I think they messed up when they planned the whole wheel system on this one.
General comments?
If you buy this car new or used make sure anything that needs to be done is done and then sell it, because it will be your turn next. Brakes, tires, shocks, rotors, brakes, oil, timing belt, housing unit, pistons, head, block, tires, hubcaps, oil, oil, oil.
Excellent car if you only have two blocks to drive to work and have a bottomless pit for a wallet.
