2002 Jeep Wrangler Sport review from North America
"With the right options and accessories, the Wrangler can be the best 4x4 on the road, or mountain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Check Engine light came on at 23K miles. Still under warranty, brought it to dealership and was serviced same day.
General comments?
My previous two vehicles have been Wranglers and I will never deviate from this product line. I am quite impressed with this vehicle and have learned enough over the years to maintain and modify my Jeep. Although these vehicles are not for everyone, I am a die hard fan.
I have 32x11.50 All-Terrain tires and a 3 inch suspension lift an this is by far the best Wrangler I have ever owned.
Like everything else, these vehicles have their cons, but the pros definitely outweigh them. With a soft top and half doors wind and tire noise are a factor, but I live in San Antonio where the radio stations are nothing to talk about so most of the time I have headphones on only because the factory CD player will not play burned CD's.
Wranglers are no smooth ride either, but I have become immune to feeling every bump and pothole so no problem there.
Now these are a bit pricey for "toys" but so is a corvette and I am able to go places that a 'vette cannot. A car goes around the mountain, I go over it, and it's a nice view from the top!
