1991 Cadillac DeVille review from North America

First off the Deville had really no problems up until its 10th birthday. In 2001 All Breaks were replaced, and the stainless steal muffler needed a little welding. This is also the year the Deville became a low rider in the rear. Cadillac's air shocks in the rear failed and caused lots of strain on the springs-we did not know it would so we kept driving caddie for another few years.

Now we had some money to spare so we replaced both rear struts (no longer air due to costs) thinking this would fix the low rider problem. It did not we then had to replace both rear springs-what a project... This solved the problem our Deville is now a decent looking car again.

Right before the car was going out of warranty at about 100000 miles, 3 bad fuel injectors were found so we had the dealer replace them. That would not be that last time, a few months ago the check engine light came on and the car sputtered down the road. Once again we had to replace all 8 injectors this time we did it ourselves- what a project.

This car has been our family car for many years it is currently driven by my son a high school student that drives 17 miles a day I believe this car will make it to 200000 miles.

Over all we as a family love this car it has never let us down other than a few cases of "leaving the interior lights on" and putting in regular gas instead of super +. Since handing this car down to my son I purchased a 1999 Cadillac Deville DeElegance-another good car that will last forever.

My son has plans to get some bigger rims and a classic grille to complete the Cadillac look for the 91' This car is metallic blue with a blue rag top, blue interior, dark gray trim outlines this babe. Under the hood is the big exclusively designed for Cadillac 4.9L V-8.
