1999 Ford Ranger Base review from North America
"A good, reliable truck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with this vehicle.
General comments?
The 3.0 liter V-6 has a good amount of power. With the 5 speed manual it is fairly quick. I haven't had it very long, but I have beat on it pretty hard and it took it in stride. The cab is a little small, but I'm 6'6", so that's to be expected I suppose. I had a pinging problem at first, but I took out the air silencer and airbox and installed a cone filter, no more pinging now.
This truck is the base model with air conditioning.
