2003 Dodge Ram Pickup SLT review from North America
"A best buy!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Right front speaker was cutting in and out.
Truck lost power and almost stalled twice within the first 2000 miles, but has not done so since.
General comments?
Awesome truck with loads of power!
Truck rides very smoothly and is fairly quiet. Plenty roomy with the Quad Cab--you can comfortably haul 5 or 6 adults and it is very easy to put my young child in/take them out.
This truck has amazing acceleration with or without a load. I tow a 7000 lb. 30-foot camper with no problems at all. I can easily keep up with my dad's 2500 with Cummins Turbo Diesel, and can out accelerate him from dead stops and in passing other vehicles.
Perhaps most impressive to me is the gas mileage I'm getting. I have never gotten worse that 14.5 miles per gallon, and my best has been 17.8! I typically average between 15.5 and 16 with a combination of short (less than 7 mile) trips and my daily 25 mile commute. Towing my trailer I get around 9 mpg.
For the price I paid, I don't think I could have gotten more value. If you need a great, comfortable truck that is perfect for towing, this is the truck for you.
