1993 Chevrolet Corsica LT review from North America

"Reliable, easy to drive, go-getter!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The car has been in my family since it was new back in 1993. It went from my aunts sister to my aunt in 1996 up until October of 2003 when I bought it. It needed minor things, nothing major oil change, air filter, fuel filter, cooling system serviced tires.

General comments?

I have had it about 7 weeks and have put close to 5,000 miles on it, it had sat parked for about two years and only been drove about 30-50 miles in that time frame. It sat at one point for 6months before it was started, but it started right up. I was leery of buying it, but decided the price was right and the Corsica's from what I've heard have a reliable reputation, and you can find parts anywhere! As of now it needs the spark plug wires, and the spark plugs replaced, oil changed, tires rotated, and the ignition lock replaced (key stuck in the ignition), the a/c does not work, but I have estimated parts (consisting of new compressor, manifold hose, accumulator and a small a/c line plus oil, seals, & freon) plus labor at or around 600.00 which isn't that bad considering its all BRAND new. it'll be

worth it, gas mileage is about 28city and 32highway, averages between 425-475 to a tank. Made two trips to Wichita and

one trip to duncan OK. did great both trips no problems. I love this car! too reliable and handles great in the snow and all kinds of weather! id rather have this then a Porsche or Jaguar any day!
