1988 BMW 3 Series 325is review from North America
"Turn heads for only a few thousand dollars!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Back light in computer has gone out, "light check" button on ceiling panel has popped out, is now a spring, but is still usable. minor wear/cuts on seats, nothing major. clutch hydraulics went out at 160,000 miles. a/c is no longer working. (all of this was under my fathers ownership from 1992-2003)
General comments?
A great car to learn manual driving on. I learned how to drive this 5 speed in 3 days of driving, and it has driven incredibly nice since it was given to me. It is a great car for me, being 16. It could, however, be incredibly dangerous under the driving of an irresponsible person. The seat, and the car sits incredibly low, you don't sit in a car... you sit in a cockpit! It still drives beautifully even with 170000 miles on it. The car also gets great gas mileage, which is one of the reasons I wanted it so badly to start with.
