2001 Perodua Kancil ex review from Malaysia
"Maintenance is cheap and get you to where you going without hassle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing much. Just replace the front brakes about a month ago. Change timing belt at around 70K.
Regular maintenance done by road side mechanic and quite cheap.
Radio is a bit not to date and sound system too. Maybe Perodua can improve in this area in the future. Sometimes I felt insecure when driving fast because the car body is not as tough as the new mini or the volvo although I once drove it for about 1/2 hours at speed of around 130km on the plus highway. However fellow co-owner don't do this or you might end up going to the next dimension sooner then expected.
General comments?
Well as I mention above the car can run along with the tough guys, but don't try it. It was not built for that.
It is a nippy car in town traffic and good for the small family.
It easy to park the car and you don't have to spend much time cleaning it too although in this department I will do it when my wife start blabbering otherwise I leave the car as it is.
