1987 Mazda 323 2.0 ZXi V6 SE review from UK and Ireland
"Good performance, can be exxy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Recently I have had trouble starting the car on cold mornings. The colder the weather, the worse the car is. Mazda think its something to do with the ECU. Other than that, totally reliable.
General comments?
Having owned a Mazda previously I was looking forward to miles of trouble-free motoring and I wasn't disappointed. The car is very quick and beyond 3000 revs accelerates brilliantly. Suffers from drive train shunt (as all Mazdas seemed to) which leads to the car feeling juddery in slow-moving traffic. On the open road though it really comes into its own and is best suited to windy A roads. It handles better than an expensive escort (not the Ford) and corners with monotonous reliablility. Great fun. Can drink more than George Best if pushed.
