1991 Nissan 240SX SE review from North America
"Style and a little power for short money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Bought it today, the passengers hood hinge is broken, needs replacement, the hood does not open very high I guess, and somebody found out the hard way. The brake rotors are warped, and the steering wheel shudders when braking as a result. The windshield is slightly pitted, and the wipers need replacement. Other than that the car is immaculate.
General comments?
I'ts a good looking car for $1800 bucks, and it beats the Sentra for comfort for 2. It gets up and goes when you need it to, but I can't call it a powerful car. I don't care for automatic transmissions, but it makes remote start a more attractive option.
The original owner was an older (70s!!!) lady who kept it garaged and drove only a few months out of the year. The miles are low for the year, and the grand-daughter who sold it to me had all the parts replaced that generally dry rot after a car sits for years. (Hoses, Belts, Tires, etc.) She had a baby recently and thought this was a bad choice for baby transport. I lucked out.
