1999 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer review from North America
"Good engine performance, poor ride"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I'd have to say that overall, our car has run pretty well. We take very good care of it, change the oil regularly and the engine seems to be in great condition. Problems are that road noise is pretty loud and if you add in the radio, you can hardly talk to a passenger. Like most of it's kind, the LCD screen on the dash is gone and repair is +$200. The rear wiper is goofed up and will only clean a small portion of the window. The leather seats are okay, but showing wear.
General comments?
I don't like the way this vehicle drives. The ride is very very bumpy... you can feel each and every nuance in the road. It was really hard on me when I was pregnant.
The good side is that it runs great and repair costs have been minimal.
