1990 Honda Accord EXR review from North America

I do not know where to start!

Engine went at 220, 000 kms.

Multiple brake jobs, too many to count.

Power window broken.

CD player broke.

Replaced heater knob twice.

Bad design... overheated 3 ignition coils. This caused car to shut down with no warning often on the highway!!

Wiring malfunctions... replaced O2 sensor 2 times.

Timing belt tensioner 2 times.

Power steering pump seized.

Alternator malfunction.

Replaced radiator and fan relays.

Would like to say this was a good car because in general they are quite 'reliable'. This was a 90 accord EXR.

I have put so much money into this car. If my husband was not a mechanic and did not have access to wholesale parts I would have sold it a long time ago.

I have finally realized that it is a complete lemon and I should have realized this sooner, but it was nice to drive and had all the trimmings.

I am always surprised when I hear all of the good ratings and wonder if I am just that one rare unlucky owner.

My husband did not like working on this vehicle it was a pain. Just to do the timing belt it was an extensive job.

This car was also very noisy on the road and shifted rough.

Beware parts for these cars are expensive and you may need many.
