2003 Skoda Fabia vRS review from UK and Ireland
"An excellent value performance hatch"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Slight rattle from gear shift when on tick over -nothing else.
General comments?
Really pleased with all aspects of the vRS considering its 7,000 cheaper than my last car a 150 bhp golf gti which was a company car. Following a change of job I have now taken the option of buying my own.
Performance is excellent just need to keep an eye on the speed at times as its so easy to exceed the limits.
The mid range punch from the 130 BHP is first class with a smoother power delivery than the 150 BHP Golf which makes things more relaxed when driving on A Roads.
Handling is good but if the car is really pushed on you need to brake harder than you would in a petrol car as you do not have the benefit of engine breaking through the gears.
3500 miles on the clock and no problems to complain about at all.
