1996 Daihatsu Charade TS review from Australia and New Zealand
"If only all cars were made like the Charade"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing. I had the car for three years and never had a problem with it.
General comments?
The Charade must be among the most reliable cars ever made.
As well as the freakish reliability, the running costs are low and fuel economy is great.
The 1295cc engine revs freely and generates good power.
Handling is also a strong point, with a setup which made Daihatsu a rallying force in the 90s.
The zippy engine, small size and handling make for fun driving.
These little beauties are as tough as nails and will handle anything you can throw at them.
