2000 Mercury Cougar V6 review from North America
"Great Price for a sharp sports car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rod bearing spun out and destroyed the crank shaft and pistons.
The engine has to be replaced.
Whomever had the car before me, must've run it hard.
General comments?
I love my cougar.
It has been in the shop for two weeks now and it's driving me crazy.
The car steers really good around sharp curves. It handles the road like no other.
Other than the engine needing to be replaced I haven't had any problems out of it.
I keep the oil changed ever three thousand miles. I keep it clean.
It does really good with gas.
Beautiful body style. I receive comments almost every day about how sharp my car looks. I've done a lot of stuff to it. Headlight covers, blackouts and sunroof vent. Windows are tinted. I love that car.
I wouldn't owe another car. In my opinion, Cougars are the best looking sports car on the market.
I'm having problems right now because the dealer I bought the car off of, didn't turn in my warranty money ($1,600) and the papers and his time is up. So, in order to get my car fixed, I have to take him to court. Where he didn't turn in the money, I don't have a warranty.
