General comments?

This automobile has seemingly spent more time in the shop for very expensive repairs, than any automobile I have owned in the past 35 years.

Premature failure of systems on the car happen frequently. In one eight month period, the water pump was replaced six times by GM dealers using GM parts. Special 'pellets' must be added to the coolant due to the aluminum block being mated to conventional cast metal heads.

The electrical system, specifically warning lights and sensors, fail and give false readings for no apparent reason. The systems sometimes resemble an old pinball machine, rather than an automobile dashboard, with warning lights coming on and off at odd intervals.

Though driven gently and with care, we have had to replace alternators, idler pulleys, cooling fan motor-controllers (several), complete top overhaul at 75,000 miles, power window and door lock solenoids and switches.

A annoying and persistent vibration happens anytime the tires have more than 10,000 miles on them.

The paint is very thin, and started showing primer on the roof at 75,000 miles, tho the car has always been garaged and has always had a good coat of high quality wax on the paint.

The side windows are really too large, and allow heat to build inside the car. The huge side windows make the driver and passengers appear and feel as if they are sitting in a hole.

When all the parts are assembled and functioning, the car has an admirable ride and comfort level. But this goal is seldom achieved.
