1993 SAAB 9000 CSE review from North America
"Fast and Furious car, not fun to maintain"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The auto traction control has never worked the way it should, it kickes in and out when and causes the car to jerk. The only known way to fix it was to unplug the fuses along with the antilock brake fueses. The antilock brakes have the same problem, they kick in and out. When I went to get it serviced, they told me that they couldn't even access the computer to figure out what was wrong with it. Replaceing the ABS sensors was pointless.
The timeing chain tensioner had to be replaced at 160k to prevent the timeing chain from failing.
The Radiator is going to have to be replaced soon, it is showing signs of leaking.
The brakes had to be replaced in the rear because they froze up and stoped working.
The exaust was not set up properly and bounced going down the road, this had to be fixed and parts of it replaced.
General comments?
The car is very quick for a 4 cylinder turbo.
The car is very confortable. I have taken many 400 mile trips with complete confort.
The car will start on even the coldest of days, 30 below 0 and it starts better than my dads new truck.
The sound system is awesome, but the cd player skips when the car hits a bump.
The turbo provides amazing boost to the point where its scary.
