1989 Honda Accord SE review from North America
"This has been a truly great car that I would love to restore to its original quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Air conditioning compressor at 310000 km
Sun roof leak sporadically always
Alternator at 290000 km
Water pump at 240000 km
Leather seats worn through at 280000 km
Temperature control unit at 360000 km
Exhaust system every 3 to 4 years
Front coil springs break on average one every 3 years.
General comments?
This car has always been sporty and fun to drive.
As you can see from the list of things that have gone wrong, the car was very reliable. Still has original paint job. Engine, and transmission still perform very well!
Leather seats, leather trim, a Honda-Bose stereo system, Mag wheels, sun roof deflector, etc made this an attractive car.
I would have driven it for another three years if it had not been T-boned at an intersection.
