2001 Nissan Sentra SE review from North America
"Lousy automatic transmission"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Lost the horn;
Radio LCD display loses its back-light display on a regular basis.
The original automatic transmission died at 35000 miles. The second warranty replaced transmission died at 78000 miles. Identical symptoms on both.
General comments?
Generally it's been a good car if one ignores the fact it's eaten two transmissions. It handles well and the performance is decent for a 2.0L 4-banger. The radio back light started going bad after the warranty period and is a bit of a pain at night. Otherwise, a decent car.
