1993 Geo Tracker review from North America
"I am considering buying a new Tracker"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I was struck in the rear in traffic. It did minor damage even though the impact sounded like a major crash. Later though, I found that perhaps the starter relay had been jolted loose. I rewired the starter circuit. I do check the oil periodically since the car has high milleage, but that's not a problem.
General comments?
For years I have hated driving, but since I bought this little canvas topped Tracker, I have enjoyed driving again. At first, I heard all kind of noises, squeeks and such while stopped at traffic lights, but I realized the Tracker is so quiet, I was hearing cars and trucks stopping behind me at the lights. It bounces and bounds over bumps with whatever I've left in the back jumping noisly, and I love it. It feels as though I'm more aware of my surroundings rather than isolated from them. I'm trying to get my wife to let me trade in our Cherokee for a new one, but she insist on a hard top if we do.
