General comments?
In the summer of 1999 when my 1986 New Yorker Turbo finally died at 400,000 (yes!) miles, I needed a replacement for my daily 90 mile one way commute. I am a part time worker and college student so price was a large determining factor in my purchase. After looking at a few used cars, I decided on a 1992 Chrysler New Yorker. This time it was a large V6 in place of a Turbo 4 cylinder. This car is the 5th Ave edition and comes with every option Chrysler had except sunroof. I took the car home and it has been a great fit except for minor issues such as the transmission had to be rebuilt twice (once I did it) so it wasn't a bad trans I'm sure. The car does have over 200,000 miles so reliability has been excellent. most of the miles are highway, so the car is not beat to hard. The car has been serviced regularly, and gets Mobil 1 synthetic oil at each oil change. I have found that with any car if you take care of it, it will take care of you. I would recommend the Chrysler New Yorker to anyone without hesitation.
