1968 Chrysler New Yorker review from North America
"A deceptively quick road warrior"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car is original wired single field. It is advisable to have the car rewired to dual field and have the voltage regulator replaced to the transistorized 65 amp version and replace to 45 amp alternator to a 65 amp as well. but NO problems.
General comments?
It is a firecracker for its immense size and has a low stance like a midsized high performance machine. Its in excellent condition. 235/70's in all four corners, and the meanest looking front end.
The back is raised and inch higher than factory to help with the roll. I call it my import killer, cause it beats so many Honda preludes. 850 cfm, larger intake, dual glasspacks. 10.1:1 compression, so premium only. 14 mpg when I drive normal, but when I get on it its more like four.
Un-Stoppable. Mine has the police pushbars, slightly modified to fit my vehicle, in case of deer or couch in the road, dodge stratus, etc. Did I mention its LARGE?
