1997 Renault Espace RXE review from UK and Ireland
"fast when not being repaired"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Warped brake discs from day 1 but took some time to convince renault engineer.
Clutch cylinder @ approx 30,000 miles.
Back window exploded @ approx 35,000!!
Glow pug seized and renault charged approx £400 to remove 1 glow plug!!
Carpet worn on driver side.
General comments?
I like the level of comfort with the espace.
The RXE 2.2 I DT. I currently have is very quick for it's size, but why is the quality of the mechanical components on this model so poor considering the initial cost of the vehicle.
My only real gripe is the poor reliability of this model and this is my third espace, but I am really finding it hard to justify staying with the brand due to past experience.
