1998 Hyundai Elantra GLS review from South Africa
"A low maintenance affordable family car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Boot hinges came off at 60,000. kilometers.
Electric windows dont always work
Head gasket blew at 55,000 kilometers.
Door handles have come out at 57,000 kilometers.
General comments?
This is a brilliant car and drives like a dream.
It has ample space for 5 adults.
Limited head room in the rear.
You get a lot of car for the money including power steering air-conditioning and ABS brakes.
Feul consumption is excellent with the
car using up little more feul than a City golf. Rear seats have a 60/40 spit which is useful for transporting long objects
However do not get the metallic paint option it is thin and peels very easily.
