1998 Renault Clio 1.2 Pananche review from UK and Ireland
"A good reliable car with some minor problems"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The battery has been drained in a very quick time with very little on in the car, this has happened twice until the battery was replaced last year.
Wiring connection has rusted through and had to be replaced.
Sunroof has started to leak.
Front of light cover on headlight has fallen off.
Exhaust will soon need replacing, it hangs very low to the ground and is easily caught on speed humps etc...
Front brake pads have worn and need replacing. Back brake pistons have developed leaks and have been replaced.
General comments?
The car is very economical with fuel, at current prices £35 will take you about 420 miles...bargain.
The size of the car inside is very very surprising, I'm 6'5'' and have more room than in most cars.
A very smooth ride with good speed, but obviously very little poke! Although she doesn't slack and can take off quickly if treated rough.
