1993 Geo Metro review from North America
"Reliable gas saver and cheap to buy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator had problems 2x
car seems to rust a little faster than average but does much better if done
by crown or zeibart
General comments?
Not fast, but great gas mileage
never touched alignment once in 80,000
km of driving and it runs straight and true
did very few major repairs
far above average for reliability
interior is low quality, but seats are good
with automatic transmission motor is working a little harder than it should above 100km/hr because they refuse to put a 4th gear in transmission and it has 12 inch tires it needs 13 inch
12 inch tires are very cheap and easy to find handles good with 2 people in car, but feels weighted with 3rd person
perfect for couple with no kids
excellent turning radius breeze to park
you can get through spots very few cars can as car is not as wide
mechanics like it and it is easy to work on plus parts are easy to find
new or used.
