1994 Chrysler LeBaron Landau review from North America
"Impressed enough to buy another new Chrysler"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Digital dash was replaced at 12,000. Original tires were Goodyear Eagles
which, coupled with ABS, gave a rough ride, plus poor driving ability in
winter. Switched to Firestone Affinity, which gave a smoother ride, much
better driving ability in winter, but at reduced mpg. I have just put on
another set of Affinity. Very reliable vehicle, the only major part to be
replaced (non-maintainence) was the power brake booster assembly ($730.00)
The only quirk is the serpentine belt comes off when driving through hard-packed drifts. A plastic shield was made available for this problem, and dealer installed, but has proven to be only semi-reliable. I simply learned to avoid steering the left side of car over deep hard-packed snow.
The interior (cloth) has darkened in the wear areas, but has held up very,
very well over time.
General comments?
One of the best cars I ever owned. Good gas mileage, adequate power,
with good interior comfort. Ride is average for a car with McPherson struts.
