1995 Geo Prizm review from North America
"An amazingly reliable car- buy one if you can get one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced starter at 70,000 miles.
Driver's seat belt broke in 2003.
Driver's door lock needed to be replaced at 112,000 miles.
Hood latch broke at 116,000 miles (but may be due to cold).
Exhaust manifold crack discovered in 2003.
General comments?
The Geo Prizm is a great car. I've driven it from Nevada to Alaska with no mechanical problems whatsoever. It has started at temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit easily, and doesn't give me any trouble handling the cold. The seatbelt and door locks were a pain to deal with, but all in all, it's really very little to put up with. I'm planning to drive it back to Ohio in April 04, and I'm not worried at all.
