1992 Ford Tempo GL review from North America
"A broken down, over-sized paper weight"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I got the car, it had no starter.
I had acceleration problems. The gas pedal would stick.
Even after having it re-aligned, it would "wander" while driving it.
Broke down with a cracked block and blown head gasket at 130000 miles.
There is a major water leak in the reserve tank.
Oil leaks as well.
The check engine light doesn't work even after being tested.
The temperature gauge is often too high or too low and very unpredictable.
Most recently, a broken belt. I haven't found which one yet.
General comments?
This car runs smoothly most of the time.
However it has put many holes in my pocketbook.
