1997 Chevrolet Malibu LS review from North America
"Money-pit!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Constant Brake replacement
Alternator at 30,000 miles
Coolant Leak
Tailight condenstion
Anti-theft lock constantly locking up ignition
Ignition switch
Keyless entry remote constantly not working.
Drivers side carpet wears extremely easily.
Oil pump at 76,000 / blew engine.
General comments?
Seemed to start out as a good vehicle
after the alternator out at 30,000 miles
it was downhill from there. Repairs are expensive and Chevrolet does not seem to care about all the problems and defects this car has.
Would NEVER buy another Chevy vehicle
have gone back to Toyota/Nissan.
