1979 Cadillac DeVille Coupe Deville review from North America
"A Running Junk Yard"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The power window, power lock and mirror switch assembly broke and when I close the door the parts fly at me.
The power seats would blow a 30 amp fuse when I used them.
The high /low beam headlight switch has a loose connection.
There was tree branch in the heater hoses because the heater core was leaking.
The A/C Compressor is frozen and will burn belts if one is wrapped on the compressor.
The car burns too much oil.
When I 1st got it in October 99 it leaked a lot of power steering fluid that there was a giant puddle under the car.
Wouldn't pass Missouri safety inspection because it had a tire showing steel belts and cloth and the horn didn't work.
General comments?
This car resembles the 80's Cadillac's.
Boring body style.
Too much plastic parts and downsized.
