2000 Dodge Intrepid Base review from North America

The car is still running great after

138,000 miles in New York traffic.

No engine or transmission replacement.

The engine runs like it did on day 1,

the transmission is still running great

after 138,000 miles. Which is why I

don't understand a lot of the reviews here.

And I drive the car more than a 100

miles a day. The pick-up is absolutely

great. I can dust a good majority of

the cars out there. Mind you, this is

New York Traffic. Lot of stop and go,

and polluted air.

I did buy the car brand new. And all

I did was follow the regular

maintenance schedule from day 1.

And only used premium gasoline.

Absolutely no regular.

I think the key for getting maximum

performance out of this car, is to

take care of it from day 1. And if

you do that. Itll take care of you.

I would suggest if your going to buy

an intrepid. Don't buy it used.

And trust me, I abuse the car when

driving. I'm constantly flooring the

accelerator, passing everyone.

This car has been through a couple of

brutal New York snowstorms. And 3

trips from NY to Chicago in its history.

And the car still runs beautifully,

with no major repairs at all.

Remember the car has a 138,000 miles on

it. And I swear it still runs like it

did on day 1.

The car is very stylish, best looking

sedan out there bar none. handles like a

dream. great trunk space. very quick

acceleration.

Could use some more standard features.

Seats could be more comfortable.

My 93 intrepid has more visual area than

my 2000.

Other than that, this car is wonderful.

But if your going to buy one, buy it

brand new. Because after reading a lot

of the reviews here, it seems like this

car needs to be taken care of from

day one.

Not after 30,000 to 70,000 miles. So

if your going to buy one, buy it new

NOT USED.
