1991 Chevrolet Tahoe pickup review from North America

I hit a deer shortly after I got it (89.000miles) and had to replace 2/3 of the front clip, including the radiator, battery, fan, shroud, grille, bumper, headlamps and the park and indicator lights. That was due to mother nature. The frame is still straight and the alignment is still straight believe it or not.

The paint was worn and the truck was rusting all over when I got it, so I re-painted the truck and it looks great.

The tires were replaced at 50,000 miles.

Windshield wiper switch and power steering pump was changed out at 60,000 miles.

The radiator was replaced at 71,000 miles.

The shocks (front and rear) were replaced at 70,000 miles. The E-brake cable replaced too.

The starter was replaced at 74,000 miles.

Master Cylinder was replaced at 77,000 miles. The brake pads were replaced at 60,000 miles then again at 90,000.

The exhaust had holes all in it (rust). I replaced the exhaust from the manifold back with new piping and a flow master. It actually sounds good with the 6-Cylinder.

The roof is sagging pretty badly, and the seats were tearing really badly. However, a $30.00 seat cover fixed that. The dash cracked on both sides by the speakers.

This truck has been great. Great power , reliable, smooth riding and good gas mileage (24 miles per gallon). The only complaint I have is that I need more room. The extra cab would be perfect for me. I have two 10" subs in the back which causes even less room. This truck has never left me stranded and it's 13 years old.
