1990 Lexus LS400 LS 400 review from North America
"Exellent value"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
AC was running poorly when first acquired, had it fixed, and now 18 months later no cold air. Passenger seat head rest power function is not working. And a notoriously none functioning item: the clock/temp display.
General comments?
Yet to regret, bought the LS400 in 2002 for $5800 and was not sure what to expect, I did know about Toyota reliability and Lexus good looks. Primarily my wife's car and our long distance travel car, it has been a joy to own. High performance, superb handling, comfortable, nice styling, just wonderful. The wife says she feels save in this car. Some of the weak points are... leather seats are wearing fast and not of the best quality, the interior air fan is a little weak and ours needs to be replaced, having some difficulty with the AC, no cold air right now, 18 months after a complete AC service, I would like to fix some misc. appearance items, but that would be all. The drive train is running smooth. Overall very happy.
