1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera review from North America
"Although it is not the most affordable car, nor the fastest, it works for every day commuting"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Some kind of leak occurred inside the car, but went away without fixing it.
Rod bearings were worn at about 92000 miles.
The fuse inlet for the indicator lights, radio and interior dome lights blew every fuse that was put into it.
Other than that, no problems have occurred.
General comments?
The fuel economy is substantially low.
With the rebuilt junkyard 3.8 liter V6 engine has tied a 1994 GMC Jimmy, 1983 Mazda RX-7, and a 1986 Toyota MR2 Spyder.
The speedometer only goes up to 85 miles per hour.
The turning radius is substantially high.
The turning is loose.
The console shifter is very convenient.
The stock speakers work like magic.
The overall comfort of the car, including seating, control conveniency, and ability of driving is 95 percent of what I want it to be.
