1995 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 review from North America
"A big, roomy car with lots of fun-to-drive power"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
4L60-E Transmission failed at 172K miles.
Shift-Lockout mechanism works on and off.
General comments?
Former police car obviously saw a lot of action.
Very fast and handles great for such a big vehicle.
Way better performing than my previous Caprice, a civilian model with a 305.
Despite the miles, runs very smooth.
Main gripe, only get about 14 mpg. Hope to improve with a tune-up.
Overall, I love this car.
Very safe due to size and body-on-frame construction.
